Even with expert planning and packing, international moves involve risks beyond our control, especially during air, sea or road transport. For this reason, we recommend arranging additional insurance to protect your belongings in the event of loss or damage.<\/p>

We work in cooperation with Oskar Schunck GmbH & Co<\/strong>, a specialist in logistics insurance, offering insurance under the SCHUNCK mover-web Policy<\/strong> based on the DTV Cargo 2008<\/strong> conditions.<\/p>

Insurance is an optional service, quoted separately and arranged specifically for your shipment.<\/p>

Coverage options<\/h4>

You can choose between three types of coverage, depending on how your goods are packed:<\/p>

Comprehensive<\/strong><\/td>Cover for professionally packed goods, including accidental damage, breakage, partial loss and transport-related storage for up to 60 days.<\/td>DTV Cargo 2008 \u2013 All Risks<\/td><\/tr>
Supreme<\/strong><\/td>Includes all Comprehensive Cover plus additional benefits such as pairs and sets, depreciation in value, consequential loss, pure financial loss and waiver of underinsurance (subject to policy limits).<\/td>DTV Cargo 2008 \u2013 All Risks + Additional Benefits<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table>

Please note that a deductible of EUR 100 applies to all claims. Vehicles and boats\u00b4 premiums are calculated separately.<\/em>

How to value your goods<\/h4>

To insure your shipment, you’ll need to complete a valued inventory list based on the current replacement value (“new for old”). Please estimate the cost of purchasing the same or similar item at destination. Overvaluation may result in unnecessarily high premiums, while undervaluation may reduce the compensation payable in the event of a claim.

What\u2019s not covered?<\/strong><\/h4>

Examples of excluded items include:<\/strong>
Cash, jewelry, documents, plants, animals, coins, and precious metals.<\/p>

Examples of excluded damages include:<\/strong>
\u2022 Wear and tear, aging materials, glue loosening, etc.
\u2022 Mechanical, electrical or electronic malfunction (unless covered by an optional extension)
\u2022 Breakage of owner-packed items<\/p>

Coverage is subject to insurer terms and may include exclusions based on geopolitical or regional risks. The policy is also subject to specific exclusions relating to cyber events, communicable diseases, sanctions and other.<\/p>

Claims process<\/h4>

Check your goods immediately upon delivery and report visible damage to our team onsite. Any concealed damage must be reported in writing within 30 days<\/strong> of delivery. We’ll assist you with the claim process from start to finish.
